Artist BioKaryn Vogelpohl-Percoco is a contemporary artist whose work is a metaphor of our own spiritual nature. While working, color, light and form are organized and intuitively placed on the surface of the paintings to create visual harmony.
Karyn was born in Toledo, Ohio, 1984. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art from Ohio University in 2006 and her Master of Fine Art from Bowling Green State University in 2012. While at O.U., Karyn studied Art History and Architecture of the High Renaissance throughout Italy, and this is where she gained an appreciation of light. Karyn teaches art to children at the Columbus Music and Art Academy in Columbus, Ohio. She creates artwork in her studio located in the historic arcade in downtown Newark, Ohio. Karyn and her husband Bryan Percoco, composer and musician, live in downtown Newark with their two dogs KiKi and Sweet Pea. |
